This was a personal project for me and a gift to my daughter. She deserved a room as amazing and interesting as she is. Nearly every piece of furniture in the space is vintage and required extensive repainting, distressing, repairing, sealing, and any number of other super frustrating but done-out-of-love efforts.

The corner shelves were re-painted and distressed and the jewelry boxes were completely redone with a new burlap insert and new paint.
The amazing vintage French Provincial style bed was bought at a consignment shop and outfitted it in West Elm bedding to give it a soft-romantic feel.
As this is a rental home, tacking things to the wall isn’t optimal. The door was covered with burlap-wrapped foam core to use as a note board.
Although the rest of the room is soft and romantic, the long, low, bookcase is very modern and fits perfectly under the huge picture window.
The vintage coat rack keeps things off the floor.
The antique French lamp had to be re-wired and the gold floral detail was painted with sterling silver. The previously gold pedestal base was redone in a cream and gold color.
