Nellie and Hector were married in San Francisco on July 9th, 2011 and held their reception at the Galleria – the perfect venue for all 300+ guests to toast the happy couple.
Not only were we honored to provide the wedding flowers, we handled the venue decor/props, candles and cake decorating, as well as created custom headbands for the two flower girls.
The bride is an amazing graphic designer and provided us with her art so we could create the table top number cards, all of the signage, and hundreds of hand-cut paper tags for the wishing tree.
To date, the Alberdi wedding was our biggest undertaking with a bridal party of 10, two sets of parents and grandparents, flower girls, an offrenda bouquet for the Virgin Mary, 10 groomsmen, and 31 tabletop arrangements – all of which went home with the guests!
We brought in half a van-load of mossy, beautiful, branches, and our very good friend Alicia came to save the day. Among all the heavy lifting and hard labor she helped with, she lit nearly 260 tealight and hurricane candles!

After working the night shift at the SF ER Alicia sacrificed sleep for us!
The Sweetheart Table was at the head of the dance floor and we used a vintage silver frame to “frame” them both when they were seated. The oversize candles on either end created a warm ambiance when the lights were dimmed.

We were given a few inspirations to work from, such as the bride’s creative invitations and a request to make the bouquets and arrangements colorful – we were then set free to design as we pleased!

As a guest of the bride I had the opportunity to hear all of the lovely compliments on the decoration – the biggest and best being the bride telling me how happy she was.
